How to use

  1. Choose Text or URL for a normal QR code, or Wi-Fi network for a joinable network code.
  2. For Wi-Fi, enter the exact SSID, security type, and password. Choose Hidden network only when the network does not broadcast its name.
  3. Scan the finished code with the iPhone Camera app and tap Join Network before downloading or printing it.

How it works

The entered text becomes the QR payload. Shorter URLs usually scan faster and leave more margin for printing or small screens.

FAQ

Can I use a long URL?

Yes, but shorter URLs are easier to scan.

Should I test before printing?

Always scan with a phone before publishing.

Can it hold private data?

Avoid sensitive personal or secret data.

Why is margin important?

QR codes need clear space around them for reliable scanning.

Publishing checklist

QR codes are easiest to use when the destination is short, stable, and tested on a phone before publishing. For posters, menus, event signs, or internal notices, generate the code from the final URL rather than a draft link. Scan it from the expected distance, under similar lighting, and on more than one device if possible. If the QR code points to a page that may change, consider using a short redirect URL that you control so printed material does not need to be replaced.

Security and limits

Printed QR codes should be tested at the final size and lighting conditions.

Important note

You are responsible for the content and destination encoded in the QR code. Test the code before printing or sharing, and do not use it for misleading or harmful links.
